The August trade fairs in Melbourne are always HECTIC!! There are three different venues across Melbourne to visit. With so many suppliers and distributors showcasing new products in the lead up to the Christmas trading period it can sometimes leave our heads spinning!! 

We were very excited to catch up with the delightful and talented Kate from Sambellina. You already know how much we LOVE Kate’s range and we were SO excited to finally meet her in person!!  New additions to the already popular Sambellina polka dot range include lime green with white polka dots, white with black polka dots and hot pink with white polka dots.  We were also thrilled to see the new striped range which comes in pink & white, blue & white and red & white.  We can’t wait to see the combination of polka dots and stripes on our shelves later this month.

Two other lovely ladies we caught up with were Katy and Jane from Katy Jane Designs.  These talented friends have added some more beautiful vintage-inspired designs to their invitation range.  Our particular favourite is the Carnival design.

Another one of our favourite “stationery queens” Jenny from Just Smitten was also in Melbourne showing off some her new designs.  We LOVE the combination of red and blue which Jenny uses strongly throughout the Just Smitten range.  Jenny’s stand was filled with beautiful Christmas cards and gift tags along with invites, cards and birthday tags too.

Inspiration Board by Miko Design

Bonjour les amis!! France is celebrating Bastille Day today so we couldn’t let the day pass without paying tribute to one of our favourite countries and to thank them for sharing with us such delights as Champagne, croissants, baguettes, cheese and macaroons (yes, at love to celebrate we are ruled by our stomachs…and tastebuds!!) as well as haute couture, perfume, the Eiffel Tower, Claude Monet and the Tour de France…just to name a few!!

monster mania


We have just received our new Monster Mania range of partyware from the USA and we LOVE it so much we have set up a cute little monster party in our shop window.  The range includes invitations, plates, cups and napkins as well as fun accessories such as monster flag bunting, masks, stickers, lolly bags and a happy birthday monster foil balloon.

We think this monster party is more fun than scary.  Monster Mania’s bright colours  co-ordinate well with lime green, blue and purple accessories and will therefore ensure it is appealing to both boys and girls!!

vintage-inspired invitations

At love to celebrate we LOVE invitations and we are always on the look out for new and exciting designs.  This week we received our first delivery of Katie Jane Designs invitations.  Inspired by a love of beautiful things, friends Katy & Jane combined their  friendship and creative talent  to produce a beautiul range of vintage-inspired children’s party invitations and thank you tags.

The current range includes 8 unique designs – three for boys, three for girls and a first birthday for each.   Each boxed set contains 10 invitations with magnets, 10 coloured envelopes and 10 matching party bag tags.

Just Smitten is a delightful range of children’s stationery designed and printed in Australia.  The range includes party invitations, gift tags, thank you notes and greeting cards.  Just Smitten is the brainchild of Jenny Peters, a  former Art Director of Vogue and House & Garden and now mother of two young boys.

The colour palate is easy on the eye yet at the same time very fashionable. Power blue , red, pink, brown and putty are the basis for this stylish stationery range which is printed on premium textured stock and come with brown kraft paper envelopes.

As you already know from previous posts we have a REAL soft spot for hearts so you can imagine how excited we were when we saw Just Smitten’s beautiful new invitation called  “Love to Party”.  It would be true to say “we were smitten!!”

B&F Sports II

Have you ever thought how fantastic it would be to buy a box which contained almost everything you need to host the most stylish and fun birthday party ever? 

We didn’t think there could be a product that could possibly “tick all the boxes” and include beautiful invitations, decorations like bunting & hand-made lanterns, accessories like lolly bags & drink labels as well as a detailed description of how to set it all up!!  …That was until we discovered the clever girls from Banter & Frolic!!

Yes, they have done it and we are delighted to now be stocking their range of beautiful vintage-inspired children’s party boxes for both boys and girls.  One thing we particularly love about these party boxes is that there are some great options for boys like the Grandstand Sports Party and the Off Limits Construction Party.

Fairies just never seem to go out of favour with little girls…and they almost always need to be pink fairies.  At love to celebrate we have been searching for a stylish fairy themed partyware range  that not only appeals to the birthday fairy herself but also to her mum!!

We think we have found the answer with this delightful range called Garden Fairy. The range is in store now and includes invitations, plates, napkins, cups, lolly bags and decorations such as flag bunting.

It seems fairies do really live in the garden!!

paper eskimo expands

PE New Products too

We have just received our new delivery of the very latest products from Paper Eskimo.  We LOVE all the new additions to the range including new invitation designs for the slightly older kids, all the extra accessories such as printed balloons, candles, polka dot lolly bags (yes we LOVE polka dots!), table runners and the great range of invitation pads.

The new baking cups are FANTASTIC!!  Paper Eskimo has worked so hard to bring this product to the consumer and they should be congratulated on doing such a great job. These beautiful and bright baking cups go into the oven looking gorgeous and come out looking  just as fabulous.  They are also great for making jelly cups and ice cream sundaes in.
