celebrating bar & bat mitzvahs

We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with one of our fantastic clients to create two very special Jewish celebrations – a Bar Mitzvah and a Bat Mitzvah.

The Bar Mitzvah was a Willy Wonka themed evening which was absolutely AMAZING!!  We LOVED the fantastic lollipop cushions which lined the entrance all the way up to the large candy bar table which was filled with jars and jars of Kosher lollies flown in from the USA.

The orange, purple, red and green colour scheme on the tables and chairs was bright but worked brilliantly to bring the theme to life.  These colours were repeated in the 900 plus helium balloons which floated on the ceiling and created a magical atmosphere.

Black, hot pink and a touch of bling were the colour scheme for the 13 year-old girl’s Bat Mitzvah!! 400 helium-filled balloons floated on the ceiling above the tables and dance floor.  We particularly LOVE the attention to detail in both themes.

weekend today

Did you “spot” our balloons and party products on the Weekend TODAY program this morning??? If you missed it take a look now!!  We were so excited when  a member of the Weekend TODAY staff visited our shop and told us she wanted some party items for a segment on gluten free party food which she was putting together for the show.

As you already probably know we LOVE polka dot so these balloons are one of our all-time favourites and always bring smiles to the faces of our customers.  They come in a great selection of colours including red, rose pink, wildberry (hot pink), lime, pale blue, yellow and lilac – all with white polka dots.  They were also very popular last year at Halloween in orange with black polka dots and black with orange polka dots.

But not only did the set of Weekend TODAY look pretty the segment provided some great tips for preparing delicious gluten-free party food for kids.  We really liked the simple but effective idea of putting gluten-free food on a different coloured plate so that  children can easily identify the food they are allowed to eat.  For more information about coeliac disease contact the Coeliac Society at www.coeliacsociety.com.au.
